Woodlane was founded in 2006 for independent motion picture production and, in spite of some setbacks, it is being dedicated primarily to those ends. Among the titles in our currently planned slate of films is the small town dramatic action film Cain's Calling; the drama / comedy The Pilots' Lounge, the fact-inspired drama The Last Unbeaten Path, and the sci-fi thriller The Hour Trap. Unlike many companies embarking on their first film production(s), Woodlane is not being set up as a production company, but rather as a sort of studio proxy, handling the resources used by separate and / or specially established production companies per feature. What's more, start-up funds will primarily go towards building the necessary infrastructure and purchasing (as opposed to the more common practice of renting) key production and post-production equipment, which should lower production costs in the long-run by avoiding excessive rental and insurance fees as well as lend Woodlane much-needed equity independent of its films - all of which benefits the investor / shareholder in most foreseeable circumstances.

STATUS:  The short film The Pilots' Lounge: Pilot Error was produced in 2004, the trailer for which can be seen at the official site. The feature-length screenplay is being represented by the South Florida branch of Writer's Literary.
