JD Moores and aviator Kevin McClellan met in high school in the Fall of 1994. Two years later, beginning as a sort of inside-joke between friends, the characters of The Pilots' Lounge were created. Though numerous and very different stories and screenplays have been written and a short film produced since then, their ongoing friendship still inspires the current incarnation of this endearing drama-comedy.JD Moores spearheads the endeavor as its sole writer, taking consultation and input from his friend whenever possible. At 30 years of age as of 2009, Moores has adapted to the limitations of a congenital disease in order to pursue his dreams. College educated and a writer first and foremost, Moores has been published in various publications, on numerous web sites and has an essay on the legacy of the late DeForest Kelley (Star Trek) published in the book of retrospective essays entitled A Harvest of Memories by Kristine Smith, the late actor's last personal assistant.In 2004, with little or no money and volunteer cast and crew, Moores wrote, produced and directed The Pilots' Lounge: Pilot Error, finally being able to find actors to at least temporarily inhabit his characters. He has since written several feature-length screenplays for which he currently has representation with the relatively new agency Writers Literary Group. The Pilots' Lounge feature is one of three low-to-moderately budgeted feature films that Moores hopes to see through to completion within the next 5-7 years, the others being his sci-fi thriller The Hour Trap and the drama / tragedy The Last Unbeaten Path.Kevin McClellan is a trained and certified flight instructor whose personal biography almost parallels that of the fictitious Albert McNeil. Originally from Battle Creek, Michigan, his family was one of many that relocated South in the early nineties when GM's experimental, employee-run Saturn car manufacturing plant first opened. Though not currently working in aviation, McClellan is also a skilled and experienced web site designer with knowledge in html, javascript, php and css. He has built web sites for various businesses in the Battle Creek and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, regions and worked for various prestigious companies such as Dell.
